Medical Expertise Meets Advanced Interactive E-Learning Design:
Explore a cardiology video scenario and an interactive hotspot-quizz for the fictional Horizon Hospital as well as a branded branching scenario for MedionTech's new CardioPulse 3000 defibrillator.
Horizon Hospital
Video Scenario
This video scenario simulates a doctor-patient consultation involving the diagnosis and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). Learners take on the role of a physician, making decisions from initial diagnostics to long-term management while being guided by an experienced mentor figure. With multiple paths leading to different patient outcomes, the scenario demonstrates the importance of accurate diagnostics and personalized treatment strategies in cardiology.
Behind the Scenes

Working in Synesthesia and Storyline, we created a branching scenario that was both immersive and didactically effective.
Horizon Hospital
Demo Quizz
In this demo quizz, we created various question types from x-ray hotspots over various question types like drag-and-drop to free-form answers, including a score counter with sound effects, to demonstrate the range of testing possibilities in Storyline.
Behind the Scenes

In Storyline, we used advanced programming with variables and conditions to create the test format.
MedionTech Branching Scenario
This advanced simulation centers around the CardioPulse3000, a fictional high-tech defibrillator with proprietary features like PrecisionPulse™ and SmartGuide™. Learners are tasked with making real-time decisions in a cardiac emergency, from proper electrode placement to defibrillation mode selection. The exercise tests their ability to operate life-saving equipment under pressure, while simultaneously promoting MedionTech's new product and its new features.
Behind the Scenes

In Storyline, we created a story path with narrative consequences based on the learners' choices while simulating real-life pressure with a timer.
